Happy New Year! I hope your New Year’s Eve was filled with good company, yummy food, and lots of smiles. I began the first day of 2013 with a 6 mile run outdoors, and DAMN did it feel GREAT! I had no pain in my achilles, shin or ankle and I felt as if I could run forever 🙂 . The snowy roads made good scenery, and the cold air gave me a fresh feeling.
For breakfast I whipped up some scrambled egg whites with peppers, onions and chicken sausage. It felt good to start the day and New Year off healthy 🙂 .
I decided as a part of my New Year’s Resolution, I’m making a challenge for me to stick to for the year of 2013. I want to start each day with a morning workout, 365 days of the year, along with writing in my food journal. Rest days will start off with light activity such as walking or easy yoga. Starting my days off by working out helps me keep up my healthy habits in so many ways. It keeps me getting a good night sleep, creates a healthy routine, and encourages me to fuel myself with healthy foods. My morning workouts will be posted on this blog and I would love to hear about your workouts too! Today’s the first day of 2013 which makes workout #1 out of 365….Bring it onnnn 2013! Bring.It.On. 😉
